If you're like me who has a penchant for greenery, you're bound to have plants and pots lying around. I'm not one to buy crazy expensive albeit pretty pots. We have DIYs for that. I've been seeing color blocked pots around the garden section of the department store lately and I find them ridiculously priced and so I thought, why not make a homemade version? After all, we'll need less materials than the fingers in one hand. Read through for instructions!
Side thought. It's been a while since my last DIY post. Nothing has changed though. My bedroom is still exploding with all these craft projects. I just happen to suck at documenting my work. Oopsies! That or my camera really has to retire.
STEP 1: Prep your pot and clean it. Depot the plan first as this would make things way easier than if you don't. (Extra Tip: If you're not a fan of the terracotta color then you can paint on the entire pot first before proceeding to the next step.)
STEP 2: Plan how you want the colors to appear. Get your masking or painter's tape and use it as a guide. You may opt to skip this but you won't have clean and crisp edges.
STEP 3: With your first color, paint on the pot. Remove the masking tape and let it dry completely.
STEP 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you're done with all hues of choice. Let everything dry and voila, we've got pretty and colorful pots that didn't eat up on your pocket!
