DIY Pants to Dungarees

I'm a huge fan of thrift shopping and upcycled transformations so whenever I could, I try to DIY my way with clothes. Some of them turn out great while others don't get that lucky. About a year ago, I found these bright pink pair of pants that were too baggy for anyone to bother with. I've been wanting to buy some dungarees at the time  but didn't have enough cash. The fix? I sewed up the old pants and turned them into dungarees. And the best part is, the straps are detachable so you can wear it as a pair of shorts too!

The true test of a DIY comes when you use it and it doesn't fall apart. Luckily, the dungarees I upcycled from my sister's old pants held itself up! Just imagine the catastrophe had it not. I'd probably go bonkers and wish I could apparate pronto. You know ala Harry Potter?

Here goes the confessions of a shoe-holic. I admit that I am a sucker for shoes but alas I can't buy all the kicks I'd ever want. Perhaps someday I'd get the chance to have a special pair after I have saved up for one. But since my priorities have all been set, my shoe collection is but to remain a project in the making for now.

Honestly, I would love to try but then again I take too long in front of my closet and end up getting the comfiest outfit I could find (regardless of the look). Reasons, reasons, reasons. As little girls, my sister and I would secretly creep into our parents' bedroom and take out all the bedding and curtains we could find. We'd make dresses and veils out of them and pretend that we were princesses in a far away land with a castle and a pretty little tiara. As kids, our crazy imaginations can run amok.
