If I were to list down the reasons why I love Manila, it'll surely include its parks. Sure there's traffic and pollution that people often whine about but if we look at the brighter side, the capital city surely has its charms. The Quezon Memorial Circle (aka QC Circle) included.
If you could tell by now, I'm a huge fan of picnics so it's no surprise why I'm a sucker for parks like this. Within a year after moving to Manila, we've been to QC Circle for a couple times in a row, enjoying one delight after another. But there's more to the Quezon City Memorial Circle than picnics, dancing fountains, street food and the tiangge. Check out the boating lagoon and racetrack that'll sure bring out the kid in you!
I managed to take quite a decent amount of snaps this time so I decided to share it on the blog. Photo dump coming through!
Channeling the Beatles! Let's pretend that this here is Abbey Road in London. We were lucky enough that nobody else was at the racetrack so we managed to take this snap.
The Quezon City Memorial Circle is located at R-7, Diliman, Quezon City, Metro Manila. The park is free of admission with benches and grass-field areas for picnics. Parking is at a flat rate of ₱15.00 for the entire day. The amusement park rides, boating and racetrack come with fees that range from ₱30-150. Food isn't a problem as several vendors line the area. Other activities include tiangge shopping, biking, badminton and similar other sports. The place is even suitable for jogging. The park is pet-friendly too so you are free to bring your beloved pets with you!
I'm surely counting the days til our next QC Circle family picnic! How about you? Do you fancy parks and picnics too?
