Chain letters. Love 'em or hate them? For me it actually depends. In the world of blogosphere we have it too but it's not the type that annoy, tell you to do stupid things or give you bad luck if you don't pass it on. We call it the
Liebster Award and according to Mr. Google it aims to bring the blogging community together and allow everyone to know each other better. Yeah, chain messages like this totally rock! So here's my take on it.
So what are the rules? Fret not they're easy peasy.
1. Acknowledge the blogger/s who nominated you.
2. Answer the 11 questions given to you.
3. Share 11 random facts about yourself.
4. Nominate other bloggers for the award.

Lipstick and Mocha for nominating me. Since they gave me 33 questions all in all, I decided to only pick 11. I don't want to bore you away. LOL. Here goes...

This is for the very reason that I love to write. Writing is my therapy and somehow I express myself better with it. Ironically, I suck at keeping handwritten diaries. I've tried for years and for the nth time, I failed. I simply could not keep them up to date and worse I'd forget I had one after a few months. Oops. Blogging is my creative outlet. My little personal space in the world of the internet. I consider it my journal too, a diary of my random thoughts, silly whatsits, crazy ideas and everything else in between.
Blogging introduced me to a lot of people. For one I've met a really good friend who I exchange emails with. She's Emma and I've mentioned her quite a lot here already (Check
here,
here and
here!). Take note, we live in two different continents. It feels really good to connect with people even if they're miles and seas away. Second because of a birthday dinner hosted by my favorite blogger
Camille Co, I got the chance to travel on my own for the first time and meet new friends many of which are bloggers too. Up until today, we've stayed in touch even if we're also miles away from each other.
I live in Cebu which is famous for its beaches. The funny thing is I'm not the island girl who prefers the sun, sand and sea. I find the mountains more captivating. I love the adrenaline from the hike. I like camping under the stars. I enjoy s'mores and campfires. I adore flowers and butterflies. I like the cool wind that brushes through my hair. I have a thing about lying on the grass daydreaming or reading a book. Lastly, I find it fulfilling to go pick or harvest fruits on your own. Yup, I'm a mountain girl!
You could say that I'm 80% pluviophile, a lover of rain. The cool weather gives me an excuse to get another cup of coffee. I often find myself baking in the kitchen during gloomy days. It's the perfect time to cuddle up and pick up a novel, read blogs or binge watch shows and movies. The remaining 20%? I only hate rain when I'm outside and I'd have to battle it out and get home without getting soaked. Plus, commuting gets extremely hard when it pours to the point that it feels like the Hunger Games. Oh and yes, worse traffic. *sad face*
The Harry Potter series! I'm sorry it's hard to pick just one. I'm a full blown Potterhead to the point that I used to read all the books every summer while I await for the next installment. Nerd much eh?
My favorite song changes quite a lot but Don't Stop by 5 Seconds of Summer is my current jam. I particularly like the acoustic version.
It would have to be during the 30th day of April when I flew all the way to Manila after having been invited to a dinner by my all time favorite blogger,
Camille Co. It felt all too surreal and is by far the highlight of my year. I got to earn myself loads of new friends too! I pretty much gushed about it
in a blog post. Pardon my fan girl feels.
Trust me when I say that I easily cry at films, television shows, books and even songs. I'm a softy. The last one that made me tear up was the Fault in Our Stars particularly the one where Hazel was doing her eulogy for Augustus.
I relax either by writing poems, doodling random stuff, reading books or blogs, eating sweets or simply daydreaming either in my room or out in our garden.
I wish I could apparate like the witches and wizards in the magical world of Harry Potter. To muggles this is called teleportation. I'd get to visit any country or city on a whim. Imagine all the places you could go to! The best part is I could meet up with friends and family all over the globe. I'm big on wanderlust and am a travel junkie at heart (as much as I'm a self professed homebody. Oh yes I'm weird.)
I'd be a phoenix. The fact that this mythical bird burns at its death and then rises back from the ashes is a symbol of optimism and hope for me. It goes on to show that bad days end and good ones come and replace them. It reminds me that every trial gives birth to better beginnings, new opportunities and happier times. The phoenix never gives up. Bonus point: its tears can heal any wound.
1. I like eating ice cream even during cold and rainy days. Cookies and cream in particular.
2. I love pastel hues. Anything too dark or too bright isn't really my cup of tea.
3. Lilies and peonies are my thing.
4. I'm a DIYer. Handmade is better.
5. I like spicy food a lot.
6. I'm a big fan of sweets and desserts.
7. Songs with beautiful lyrics live in my playlist. Hello Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran!
8. I've always been the thriftiest person in the group. I'm a saver.
9. The charm of old cities and architecture enchant me.
10. I'm a neat freak and a minimalist. I like organizing things and I dislike mess.
11. I'm a hugger. My sister can attest to this.
