Sometimes you’re not sure what you want in life or where you’re headed to go. It can drive you nuts because for many of us uncertainty is scary. It scares me too. You never know what’s out there but then again your heart longs for something that’s invisible to the naked eye. You aspire more. You begin to dream. You chase happiness. You get ready to fly. However, we can’t help but ask: What if I fall? What if I can’t make it? What if I don’t end up happy after all?

Funny how it seems that the weather can perfectly mirror how I feel. All this rain and chilly gusts of wind are blowing my hair and my spirits across the expanse of the universe, sending words from my head and my heart to my fingertips.

Yes you! That's right. I'm talking to you. Please don't make me wave my arms in exasperation. There's no need to deny that YOU are beautiful. It is quite true that society has shaped up much of what people today see as beauty. What may be considered as such today may not be what was once true years back or in the days to come. Think about it. Decades ago the one stroke thin eyebrow was all the craze. Today, it's about rocking those bold brow ala Cara Delevingne, Lily Collins or the Olsen Twins. After all, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It is subjective. It can change. But of course that only pertains to the physical. We should never forget about what's inside, what's behind all that make-up and  all those pretty clothes. We can all buy those but character and personality are priceless.

Stars and Constellations

I for one cannot contain my excitement for The Fault in Our Stars movie! I've read the book. It made me cry. It made me mad. It made me laugh. It made me fall in love. The timing could not even be more precise as I lost someone dear to me from cancer and the diagnosis came two weeks after I've read the novel. Maybe for some, watching this movie could be torture and if it is then so be it. I'm armed with boxes of tissues anyway. Wouldn't it be amazing to feel love at its utmost purity even within your numbered days?

FAITH, TRUST AND PIXIE DUST. Growing up I have always loved that line from the Peter Pan books, animated films and movies. How about you? On that note I decided to doodle stuff on a piece of paper and voila!

Have you ever had those days when you feel like talking to yourself? I know it sounds cray-cray but I kind of like talking to myself. It's weird but in one way or another I find it therapeutic just like writing in a diary.

Happy holidays everyone! I'm sorry for being on blogger hiatus for so long. *insert puppy eyes here* December is but the busiest month of the year as I played Santa and spent two month's worth of salary buying presents. Nonetheless, I feel happy although broke. I practically love the rush that gift shopping gives me. It's fun to think of ideas to give your friends, family and loved ones. It was a blast and I find most people doing the same.  Truly, Christmas waves a magic wand over this world and behold, everything is softer and more beautiful. Do you agree?

Skate {Thoughtful Thursday #6}

Happy Thursday everyone! I got today's quote from a t-shirt I recently got from a friend. It was a memento of sorts since he was moving to Dubai. The night before his scheduled flight, we all decided to have a "last supper" in a nearby restaurant as our despedida (farewell). Of course, we demanded that he leave us small knickknacks and souvenirs. We've all been together during our college days and being oceans apart would terribly suck! We need something to remember each other by. At least. So we asked for his shirts. He often had tees with fancy prints so even if our barkada (group of friends) were 90% female, they still suited our taste. Besides, whoever said girls can't wear guys shirts?

Happy Thursday everyone! I know it's been a while since I last made a Thoughtful Thursday post but I didn't want to make random filler posts just for the sake of being able to blog. As I said before, this place would be my diary where I chronicle important events in my life and scribble down my random thoughts, whatsits and whatnots. I don't want things half baked either. Happy Thursday lovelies! If you have noticed, I try to upload twice a week: one during a Sunday and another on a Thursday. It could be a different day for you depending on your country's time zone. The thing is I've been very busy this past few days and I failed to update you last Sunday and for that I'm terribly sorry. First was because of a career pursuit which I would probably talk about some other time. Second was because I had to catch up with my college friends. All of us are fresh graduates and we've been busy looking for a job. Some were already working while others opted to take up a higher degree. Anyway, enough with my chitchats. Speaking of friendship and catching up, something really good happened this week. My dad.

Hi everyone! It's another cold Thursday for me. It's been raining all day long and I'm missing summer even more. There are a couple of things I love about the rainy season though: coffee, hot choco, champorado [a Filipino delicacy made of rice and cocoa] and ice cream. Yes, I still love eating ice cream. I don't mind how cold it gets. LOL!

To be honest the past few days wasn't that good for me. I particularly picked out this quote as I was feeling sad and a little down. Let's just say that things didn't work out just as I have planned and wanted them to. Around the end of the past week, I received bad news. I'd say bad for I have foregone quite a number of big opportunities just so I could follow a path which I believe was best at the time. Apparently, it wasn't. That night, I couldn't sleep. "Back to square one." I told myself as I lay on my bed. My best friend and my sister would often tell me that I'm a perfectionist. I won't stop at nothing until I find a solution to a problem. Sometimes I even look for a solution even when the problem has not arisen yet. I won't sleep unless I'm certain that the job or task I was asked to do was at its best. So yes, I was tossing and turning that night thinking of ways on how I'd be able to pass that road block. I must say I fell asleep with my brain buzzing with thoughts.

Happy Thursday guys! Today, I decided to make a series post I'd call Thoughtful Thursdays. I've always loved reading random quotes. Sometimes all we need is a motivational pat in the back. As a certified bookworm, I find solace in words. It can get me through the bad days, inspire me to be the best, remind me of good memories, cheer me up and all those stuff. Sometimes words captivate the soul in ways reason cannot fully understand. It just does.
