Scarves and Snowflakes

“I wonder if the snow loves the trees and fields, that it kisses them so gently? And then it covers them up snug, you know, with a white quilt; and perhaps it says "Go to sleep, darlings, till the summer comes again.”
- Lewis Carroll, Alice's Adventures in Wonderland & Through the Looking-Glass

Living in a tropical country, I've always wanted to experience snow. I want to touch it and watch the ice melt through my fingers. I'm not a fan of chilly climates though. I easily feel cold and have that tendency to sloth around when the weather's breezy and nippy. In fact, I've seen artificial snow in a theme park before. I was too dumb to wear sandals though. After a few minutes, my toes were burning and I had to run out. You might think that that made me forget about my "winter daydream" but no. I still find it fascinating. You get to make snow angels and play with snowballs. Ice skating on the lake. During the holidays, you'd get to fashion your very own snowman. The best part is wearing those pretty winter clothes. I've never worn any since that would be silly. The heat will kill me if I tried. The scarves, the boots, the coats... everything! I know someday I will. I'd walk down the street. See my breath amidst the chilly air. Touch a snowflake. Take a photo. Everything else may be freezing but I know the experience will be amazing.
