Whimsical and roundabout bonkers. This is the very reason why Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is dear to me. I love the idea of this somewhat logical madness and I like how I can translate the story, the movies and their elements into quirky and playful projects. So when my sister turned eighteen last year, we decided to celebrate it through a whimsical pastel explosion of sorts.
Being the crazy DIYer that I am, I persuaded her to allow me to organize a small and private party with her friends. Since we had limited time (a day's worth) and budget to set everything up, we needed to rely on creativity, homegrown family recipes, excess craft supplies from old projects and loads of crepe and tissue papers! I documented most of the DIYs, party decorations and ideas and I'll be sharing them with you sometime soon. For now, here's a little sneak peek of what went through my sister's so called Alice Rhob in Wonderland birthday party!
